![]() And only those designed to be played in Kontakt. Kontakt plays VSTs designed to be played in Kontakt. I don't offhand know of a good tutorial about the concept of using Kontakt. I saw several videos saying you add it through the synth rack, but when I press the add button it does not say "Kontakt" anywhere in the dropdown! I am confused please help. I also understand that before Cakewalk recognizing these, they have to be run separately first, which I did.īut what I don't understand is how to add Kontakt and basically just like how to use Native Instruments for Cakewalk it is so confusing!!? Like similar to LABS - there is only ONE synth "LABS" but inside the LABS are various installed instruments. It is basically a manager so you don't have to look for each VST separately. What I understand is, Kontakt is basically where you can put all your VST plugins, and then you can put Kontakt in the DAW and use several instruments from only one instance. I have seen Guy Michelmore using Kontakt as an instrument track, similar to Spitfire LABS. (Phew turned out to be longer list than I first thought lol). ![]() This is what I have installed (I have installed all in my :D, not :C and in the Cakewalk VST folder - if this should matter):īlocks Base, Controller Editor, Expansions Selection, Guitar 6 Player, Kinetic Treats, Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt 6 Player, Kontakt Factory Selection, Mikro Prism, Play Series Selection, Reaktor 6 Player, Reaktor Factory Selection R2, Supercharger, Traktor DJ, Traktor DJ2, TRK-01 Bass. You should now be able to load your plug-ins in MASCHINE.So I was searching for free VST plugins when I found Native Instruments. Restart MASCHINE 2 and allow its database to be reinitialized.Navigate to the Native Instruments folder and delete the Maschine 2 folder you find here. This will open the Appdata > Local folder. Close MASCHINE and press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog. This will cause MASCHINE to scan your default plug-in folder locations. Click Rescan to allow MASCHINE to find your plug-ins.įollow these steps to manually rebuild the MASCHINE plug-in database. If the VST folder path is not listed, click Add and navigate to your plug-in folder location.Start MASCHINE and go to Preferences > Plug-ins > Locations.Below VST Location (64 bit), you can see the folder where your plug-in was installed.Click the three dots on the right side and choose Installation Paths.Open Native Access and go to Library > Installed to find your product in the list. You can use Native Access to find the VST plug-in folder, in order to set the correct location in MASCHINE Preferences. Make sure MASCHINE is accessing the folder where your plug-ins have been installed. Plug-in Locations in MASCHINE and Native Access If you notice an exclamation tab by your product, use the Repair tab as explained in this article (or this video). Note: If KONTAKT or REAKTOR are not Installed, click the Available tab in Native Access to install them. Click the Library > Installed > Applications tab and check if KONTAKT and REAKTOR are installed.Follow these steps to make sure they're installed. Many NI instruments require the KONTAKT or REAKTOR Players to function. ![]() Verify that KONTAKT and REAKTOR are Installed Native Access 1 users can also watch the video at the end of this article.
